All these issues can be fixed if you download this gamepad emulator to game folder, then run it and be sure that your gamepad is detected and all settings will be downloaded and uploaded to your game folder. Possible LOCATIONS are:

The Essence Reaper Ritual Gamepad emu file must be in : DRIVE:\The Essence Reaper Ritual\ (content.exe should be in that folder)

Example 2: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\The Essence Reaper Ritual\ To work proper, (content.exe) should be there!!!

All these problems can be fixed by installing vcredist pack from here and if IS NOT WORKING, you have to uninstall all versions and install all back with a special software that can clean residual garbage and registry leftovers!!
